"Are You Like Writing Lyrics?" is a collection of poems from members of the 2012 and 2013 Nitty Gritty Slam team that represented Albany, NY at the National Poetry Slam: Algorhythm, Shannon Shoemaker, D. Colin, Daniella Watson, Elizabeth "Elizag" Gordon, ILLiptical, Kevin Peterson, Poetyc Visionz, and Saymo (Christopher The Poet).
The Nitty Gritty Slam is the official poetry slam of Albany, NY, taking place every 1st and 3rd Tuesday at Valentine's. NGS is sponsored by Albany Poets, Frequency North, and Urban Guerilla Theatre.
